ABOUT THE PLATFORM
Are you an LMS or an LXP — and what does that mean for us?
Both. Kiron Campus combines learning management (LMS) and learning experience (LXP) capabilities in one platform, so you don't have to run two systems. LXP examples: discovery, interactive content, community features, personalised recommendations, social learning, ai learning LMS examples: structured courses, tracking, certificates, reporting
Do we need our own developers or IT team?
No. Most of our partners have no in-house developers, and none is required to run a Kiron Campus. We handle setup, hosting and technical maintenance. If you do have an IT team, they can use our API for deeper integrations, but it's optional, not required. Your team usually manages … through the admin interface.
Can we import existing content, or migrate from another platform?
Yes. Kiron Campus supports H5P for interactive content, and you can directly import the SCORM Standard from platforms like Moodle or Canvas. For other migrations, our team can also help build a custom content import via our API.
Can you build custom features, including AI?
Yes. Kiron Campus supports H5P for interactive content, and you can directly import the SCORM Standard from platforms like Moodle or Canvas. For other migrations, our team can also help build a custom content import via our API.
Is the platform open to integrations with other tools?
Yes. Kiron Campus has an open API, so you can connect it with tools you already use: calendars, video conferencing, communication platforms, or your own internal systems. We've built integrations for past projects and can scope new ones based on what your team needs.
Is the platform GDPR-compliant, and where is the data hosted?
Yes. Every Kiron Campus is hosted in Germany and built to be GDPR-compliant by design, not adapted afterward. We are AZAV- and ZfU-certified, and your data stays on German servers.
ABOUT LEARNING DESIGN
What does a Didactic Review include, and what do I get at the end?
A Didactic Review is a focused assessment of your existing learning content or programme, looking at structure, engagement and outcomes. You'll receive a written summary of what's working, what to improve, and concrete next-step recommendations. Many partners use it as a first step before a larger Learning Design engagement.
Do you create the learning content, or do we?
Both work. We can produce your content for you, from storyboarding to video production, or train your team to create it yourselves. Most partners combine the two, often starting with a Didactic Review to identify where support is most valuable.
What's the difference between a Didactic Review and a full Learning Design engagement?
A Didactic Review looks at what you already have and tells you what to change. A full Learning Design engagement goes further: we design and build the new or redesigned content with you, from storyboarding through to final production. Many partners start with a Review, then move into a full engagement once priorities are clear.
Do you work with our subject matter experts, or bring your own?
Both. We regularly work alongside our partners' internal experts, translating their knowledge into learning content, and we also have our own instructional designers and specialists for projects that need extra capacity. You choose the mix that fits your team.

Is this only for NGOs, or can companies use it too?
Both. Kiron Digital Learning Solutions grew out of an NGO working with refugees and underserved communities, but our platform and services now serve NGOs, foundations, public-sector education projects and companies alike, particularly organisations building inclusive learning programmes or supporting international teams. If accessible, mission-aligned learning matters to your organisation, you're a good fit regardless of sector.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on your setup and number of learners, since every campus is customised. Rather than quote a generic number, we'd rather understand your needs first. Book an initial consultation and we can usually give you a realistic range on the call.

Kiron Digital Learning Solutions grew out of Kiron Open Higher Education, an NGO that has provided digital learning to refugees and displaced learners since 2015. As a social business, 100% of our profits are reinvested into expanding access to education, so every partnership with us creates impact beyond the project itself.
